Alternate Route to La Union & Baguio from Angeles Expressway Avoiding Tarlac City Centre, Carmen, & Urdaneta see map page 39
At the end of the Northern Diversion Road (Manila Expressway) turn to left towards Concepcion,
and follow the road to Capas and rejoin Macarthur Highway. Proceed thru Luisita to Tarlac.
At Tarlac take left fork (signposted to MacDonald's). At traffic lights turn right, then immediately left, and straight on at cross roads and over bridge. Join National Highway to Camiling. At Camiling, straight on at cross roads to Bayambang and Malasiqui. After Malasiqui take right fork to Sta. Barbara. At Sta. Barbara town center, strait on at traffic circle. Turn left at 'T' junction, and immediately right towards Mangaldan.
At Mangaldan turn right go past Jollibee (your landmark for your return journey) and thru San Fabian to rejoin Macarthur Highway at Damortis. From here on to Agoo for Baguio and Bauang.
